It Started With a Table
Every version of The Southern Spread — and there have been a few — has been about the same thing: gathering people around something worth staying for.
Five Chapters, One Belief
What began as one baker's table has grown, chapter by chapter, into a house full of welcome. The kitchen came first. The calling revealed itself along the way.
-
Chapter One
A Home Bakery
It began the way most good Southern stories do: in a home kitchen, with an oven that rarely rested and neighbors who kept coming back.
-
Chapter Two
A Food Truck
The kitchen took to the road. Feeding all of Acadiana and beyond from a tiny window and an 18-foot kitchen on wheels taught us speed, consistency, and how much a warm greeting matters when the line is long.
-
Chapter Three
A Restaurant
Four walls and a dining room of our own. We learned to run a floor, read a table, and turn first-time guests into regulars.
-
Chapter Four
Catering
Then the celebrations found us — weddings, dinners, and gatherings where the food had to travel and the standard could not slip.
-
Chapter Five
A Hospitality Brand
Somewhere along the way we understood that the plate was only part of it. Today we care for whole days — the welcome, the room, the table, the goodbye — in the historic homes where we host, loving people the way we always have: in person, and at the table.
The Southern Spread isn't defined by where we started. It's defined by the people around our tables today — and how loved they feel when they leave.
